Today's technology workplace demands that IT personnel be able to
write clearly and effectively. Particularly when working in a complex
heterogeneous environment, communicating technical information to
co-workers, who may be at different knowledge levels, or have great
knowledge in different areas, is essential.
I have this skill.
In this technical writing sample, I was called upon to document
the operation of Linux-based mail relay server, for co-workers
whose primary skill sets lay in NetWare and Windows. As I
wrote the document, I linked functions in the Linux environment to
similar aspects of the NetWare and Windows environments, to help my
audience put the information in context.
